The Ride to Conquer Cancer is a two-day, 200 plus kilometer, cycling event in August 2020 to raise money to conquer cancer. This will be my eighth year in the Ride to Conquer Cancer. When I first joined the ride in 2010, I had not biked in 20 years (since my last bike was stolen), but the cause is so personal and so good that I had to get back on my bike. It is also why I continue to bike. I ask you to support me this year and donate.
In October 2008, we lost our Finn. My wife Chrissy, and our young children Connor and Mairi, lost our cousin, our nephew, our friend, but most of all our Finn, to a rare form of childhood cancer. In December 2009 we lost Grandma Bertha to cancer. We lost her far too soon, especially for Connor and Mairi, who did not have the chance to create many of their own memories of Grandma. I ask you to donate to prevent others from experiencing similar losses in the future.
I bike to honour Finn and Grandma Bertha's strength, and to share their storeis with others. I have to do something.
