On January 8, 2020, my life changed forever. My vibrant, generous, loving dad passed away peacefully after an incredibly quick battle with super aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. He had been golfing 6 days a week and seemed perfectly healthy until Dec. 15, when he thought he had the flu. Turned out it was blood cancer. I did not even know it was possible for something to hit so quickly. It is still inconceivable to me that he is gone. I miss him so much and am so grateful for all the treasured memories I have. He gave me, my mom, and my sister a wonderful life.
I was already planning to do The Ride this year along with Mat, who did it last year. I did not anticipate having such a personal reason for doing it. Whatever you are able to give, THANK YOU. Every donation brings us closer to conquering cancer. I do not want anyone else to suffer the pain and shock of losing a loved one this way.
