WE CAN AND WE WILL #33 STRONG
I am not a cancer survivor in the sense that I have battled with this disease myself, I was on the other end as a family member, friend and support system for people battling Cancer.
This is my second year for participating in the ride and I can't wait for August to do it all over on this crazy epic adventure, with my good friend and even crazier lady Maureen Kaake (this is her 3rd ride and she is a 2x survivor).
This year marks the 10th anniversary with an all BC route, fittingly enough we will end our ride in Hope BC.
If I have learned anything from my first ride is that it no matter how many people you may have lost to Cancer or who are currently battling and wish they could be there with you at the finish line you can always feel their strength and love the whole 200 + Kms with, every pedal you do, every Km you bike your grandpa's your aunties and so on. They are all with you as your driving force to finish the ride and to one day find a cure for this disease that has taken so many loved ones way to early.
Your help and support in either the form of a donation or by volunteering for the race or being a rider with us or even just to be some of the people on the streets cheering us on because no matter how big or small your contributions are they all count to help with the bigger cause.
May you all stay safe and healthy
