Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer®
Welcome to my Personal Page! The Ride to Conquer Cancer presented by Silver Wheaton, benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation, is a two-day cycling journey from Vancouver to Seattle, through Canada's Pacific region taking place in June. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made! I completed the ride last year and I intend to do it again and again while I am fortunate enough to have the strength.
I have succeeded in raising some of my personal goal through some sales of Christmas crafts and some very generous donations at outdoor spins and I have more fundraisers planned. Please help me in meeting, or even exceeding my donation goals. If you know of someone who has had their lives affected by cancer, please pass this on through email, facebook or twitter.
Please contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in The Ride to Conquer Cancer will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care made possible through BC Cancer Foundation, a leader in cancer research and care.
I am riding to honour my dear father who we just lost late 2015. I am riding for a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law and an uncle who have been treated, and are responding well to cancers that just a few years ago would have taken them from us and for a dearly loved auntie who was taken. I am riding for a beloved childhood neighbour who is currently waging a brave battle. I am riding as an ex-smoker, happy to be smoke free and aware just how lucky I am that I have my health and am able to give back in this way. I am riding for a cure of all cancers so no one needs to know the fear of losing a father, mother, brother, sister, niece, nephew, auntie, uncle, cousin and/or friend. I am riding for all you survivors, you have already been so brave!
Thank you so much for your help.
