(Please)Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer®
Welcome to my personal page, and thanks for taking the time to check it out. I look forward to joining thousands on the ride down to Seattle, in name of such an excellent cause, and appreciate any and all support you can give.
This will be my third time taking part in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, and first time since 2012 so it has been a while. Life tends to get in the way, between university courses, summer internships, family visits-the list goes on. Unfortunately for far too many, that list tends to fall unfairly short. Whether it be a mother, a father, child, coworker, friend, grandparent, uncle, cousin, niece, nephew, you would be hard-pressed to find somebody with absolutely no ties to cancer. That is why I'm riding again this year, and why I believe this cause to be so important.
I'll be joining the illustrious "Chafing the Dream" team this year; a group of fine gentleman I'm lucky enough to call friends, all with the collective goal of chafing cancer the hell out of here. There will be sweat, a bit of blood, inevitable tears, and lots of memories made as we make the trek 250KM down to the only city with more rain than Vancouver. And though we might come in underprepared, we might as well be doing the ride on a seat-less unicycle through quicksand to even begin to imagine what life with cancer is like.
So please, join me and the rest of the Ride to Conquer Cancer participants with any contributions you can make, and stay tuned for updates on fundraising and training as the road to Seattle continues.
