Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer®
Almost everyone's life has been touched by cancer. My first experience was at age 4, when my mum was diagnosed with lung cancer. For the next 4 years it became a regular part of my childhood life commuting to various towns and cities seeking all kinds of treatment, from the medical to the spiritual. A few years after she passed, a cancer centre was built at the very hospital she worked at as a nurse - not 5 minutes from our home. I couldn't help but be happy that others might have the chance to be close to their families while undergoing treatment.
The Ride to Conquer Cancer presented by Silver Wheaton benefiting BC Cancer Foundation, is a two-day 250 km cycling journey from Vancouver to Seattle. This ride through the beautiful Pacific region takes place August 26-27, 2017. I'll be biking on my previously beat up but now refurbished yellow steel frame Bianchi. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my team, my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
It is my hope that in the future less families will lose their loved ones to cancer. Please contribute to this powerful movement with a donation. Funds raised through the Ride to Conquer Cancer will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at the BC Cancer Agency, bringing hope to cancer patients in B.C. and beyond.
Thank you in advance for your help!
