Eve's Ride to Conquer Cancer 2017
I am very excited to be registered for my FIRST Ride to Conquer Cancer. Despite being somewhat terrified of riding the 250km from Vancouver to Seattle, I feel empowered to be able to raise funds for a cause so close to my heart.
As a pediatric oncology nurse I see the effect cancer has on my brave ever smiling little kiddos and their families. I am overwhelmed with the grace they have in the most trying of situations. I could sit here and type for hours and I would still not even come close to being able to describe the resiliance, strength and courage these patients and families have. I want more for them, I want to do more for them.
I'm riding in honor of my dad who passed away six years ago after his battle with cancer. I ride in hopes that one day there will be a cure. That one day no one will have to experience what I did losing a family memeber too soon. Any donation big or small is so appreciated and will help us come one step closer to discovering new treatments, better treatments.
All the love,
