Thanks for taking the time to check out my page!
I am fortunate to be participating in this ride with 19 dedicated people who all have their own story of how this disease has impacted their lives, from the loss of loved ones to personal battles of their own.
My story also includes the sudden loss of my Father and Grandfather.
Other than participating in events through work this is my first experience with personal fund raising and I can honestly say I was a little apprehensive about asking friends and family to support me with this goal. It’s difficult for me to ask people for help when I realize how tight finances can be and how much need there is in so many other places....but then I witness the struggles that others are going through, I hear the stories of defeat and bereavement, sadness and the sudden unjust loss of life that this disease brings.
It makes feel proud to be a small glimmer of positivity, honored to be part of this team and a little ashamed that I hesitated to ask because of my pride.
I am riding for the inspiring people on my team, their stories and for the continued support of Retired Chief Doug Angrove.
So, I ask if you could spare even a small amount, every penny helps and will go to a cause that has affected so many of us.
