Help me raise money to fund cancer research.

Cancer is awful. Your support will fund cancer research with the goal of finding a cure for this deadly disease in our lifetime.
The definition of courage is "strength in the face of pain or grief". My sister-in-law Lisa embodied courage in so many instances throughout her life, and she continues to inspire me to take on new challenges with her same brave, can-do attitude.
In April 2015 Lisa was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme, an incurable Stage 4 Brain Tumor. In May of 2015, she began radiation treatments followed by 6 months of oral and IV chemotherapy. Despite doing everything possible to slow or reverse the effects of the tumour, my sister-in-law passed away in July of 2016. I’m still in disbelief that she’s gone.
In her honor, and with her family and friends, I will be participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer with Team Courage for Lisa. The RTCC is a two day, 200 Kilometer (144 mile) bicycle ride from Vancouver BC to Marymoor Park in Seattle. The purpose of this ride is to raise money for the prevention and cure of Brain Cancer. Proceeds benefit the British Columbia Cancer Agency. I have requested that funds raised be designated for the Brain Cancer Research Program.
I know that riding in the Ride To Conquer Cancer would have been something that Lisa would do, and it would make her happy that I am riding to help in the search for a cure for the disease that ended her life. I am immensely grateful for any and all support as Team Courage for Lisa raises money for cancer research.
Cancer research has made huge strides in the past few years. Funding research is critical to assuring that we continue build upon the work already done. In my sister’s case, I held the hope that a major breakthrough would have saved her life. That is how close I believe we are to breaking the code of this deadly disease. We CAN find more ways to save more lives, and reduce the anguish and suffering of so many of our friends and loved ones.
I sincerely appreciate any and all support. Thank you.
