Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer®
In 2015 I found a lump in my right breast and received the devestating news that it was cancer. Waiting for the diagnosis was the worst, and all my worries and fears were around my husband and three young children. However I was determined not to let it crush me, and to treat the experience as a positive journey. I focused on how lucky I was to be living in the west with access to great health care. Sure it sucks having to have surgery, loosing your hair and explaining to your kids that you have cancer. But I got through it! I'm closer now to the amazing people who helped me on my journey. I now focus on whats important in life.
Doing this ride is my chance to give back. For those who arent as lucky as me. Hopefully within my lifetime there will be a cure, and no one else will have to suffer. I'm no longer taking my health for granted - this is a huge kick up the bum!
The Ride to Conquer Cancer presented by Silver Wheaton benefiting BC Cancer Foundation, is a two-day cycling journey, through the beautiful Pacific region taking place in the summer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
Contribute to this powerful movement with a donation. Funds raised through the Ride to Conquer Cancer will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at the BC Cancer Agency, bringing hope to cancer patients in B.C. and beyond.
Thank you in advance for your help.
