Riding in honour of my Dad
Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer®
Welcome to my Personal Page! The Ride to Conquer Cancer presented by Silver Wheaton benefiting BC Cancer Foundation, is a two-day cycling journey, through the beautiful Pacific region taking place in the summer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
I am completing the ride for the very first time with my sister in memory of our Dad who passed away from Pancreatic Cancer in May 2016. He kept his spirits high and was as tough as nails throughout his journey. He loved his grandkids, gardening and engaging in intellectual discussions (especially about politics and hockey). Our father was also very active in the community from hosting a multicultural radio show in Vancouver in the early 70s to being a board member of the Burnaby Multicultural Society up until his diagnosis in 2014. The one thing my dad really wanted to do was to hold a fundraiser for Pancreatic Cancer research. Although he never got that opportunity, he would have been happy to know that we are now paying his service forward by getting involved in the Ride to Conquer Cancer.
Contribute to this powerful movement with a donation. Funds raised through the Ride to Conquer Cancer will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at the BC Cancer Agency, bringing hope to cancer patients in B.C. and beyond.
Thank you in advance for your help.
