Excited to make an EPIC DIFFERENCE in my 3rd consecutive Ride!!
I will once again be participating in the BC Ride to Conquer Cancer, a two-day, 250 km bike ride from Vancouver to Seattle, and with your help I'll raise much-needed money for the BC Cancer Foundation.
I, like most, have had many people very close to me impacted by cancer. One of those people was my amazing step-mom Jane, who fought a courageous battle with cancer in the second half of 2015. Sadly, Jane lost her battle just before Christmas that year, and myself and my family misses her dearly. Seeing first hand just how brutal this disease is, I just knew that I had to do something to make a difference, and Jane is my main inspiration for participating in the Ride.
On the other hand, I've also seen some great people put up a courageous fight and come out on top! These amazing cancer survivors, as well as many others, have gone on to become incredible leaders and advocates against this disease. I am very proud to once again be a part of Team Riders for Ryders. This incredible team, founded by Jimi Brockett, a colleague and a good friend, has raised over $2,645,000 (and counting) to help fight the war against cancer. You certainly can't miss us in our red and black "33" jerseys!
I ask you to contribute, how ever much it may be, to this powerful movement with a donation. Funds raised through the BC Ride to Conquer Cancer will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at the BC Cancer Agency, bringing hope to cancer patients in B.C. and beyond.
Thanks in advance for your help,
