Tarryn's Ride To Conquer Cancer
Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer®
This past August, I rode more than 240km over 2 days from Vancouver to Seattle with "Team Dennis and Friends" in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, which raised 7.1 million dollars. I personally raised over $6000 and am hoping to beat that this year.
It was an experience that I will never forget. Although, the journey was long and sometimes tiring with lots of mental, emotional and physical ups and downs, I knew that it was in no way comparable to battling cancer. It was truly inspiring...inspiring enough that, and I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but...I am doing it again in August!!!
This year, I will once again be riding in memory of my Grandpa Gerald but unfortunately there are several others in my life who have been touched by cancer this year and Im doing it for them too...
-For my PACU coworker, Marita, who after caring for and bringing smiles to so many patients recovering from surgery, is now fighting her own battle.
-For an amazing LPN, Linda, whose lovely husband Bill was taken from her suddenly and way too soon.
-For Matt, Suzanne & Molly and their mom/mother-in-law & grandma, Cathy, who is fighting hard
-For Bronwyn who kicked cancer's ass and is now in remission
-For our family friends who lost their special mom, Maureen
...and of course, for everyone else who is being affected by this devastating illness.
My team, Team Dennis and Friends, are looking for new riders and we would love to have you join us on this incredible journey. If you are not interested in joining our ride, please consider contributing to this powerful movement with a donation. Funds raised through the Ride to Conquer Cancer will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at the BC Cancer Agency, bringing hope to cancer patients in B.C. and beyond.
Thank you in advance for your help and support, it would not be possible without any of you.
