Thank you for coming to my personal donation page for the 2016 Ride to Conquer Cancer. This is my first year participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer and it has been something I’ve wanted to do for a couple of years now. I’m honoured to be joining up with the Conquest Cycling Club, a club that has raised over $68,000 for cancer research.
I’ve wanted to do this for a couple of years now and this year I’m finally fulfilling this goal. I’ve lost three close family members to cancer over the years: my great grandfather in 2004, my paternal uncle in 2012, and my father in 2014. I ride to honour them and their fight against this deadly disease. My hope is that one day we find a cure to rid the world of cancer.
In 2013 my father was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. His courage, strength and positive light through this tragic time inspired me. He fought with everything he had - it was during this time I saw what true strength and courage was. Since then every time I’m faced with a challenge I remember him, his journey, his fight and I say to myself “If he can go through all that, I can do this no problem.” On September 12, 2014 my father ended his battle with Cancer and left behind all the pain and suffering one goes through when fighting this deadly disease.
Please help me reach my goal of $2,500 and together we can help find a cure.
Thank you again for your support and let’s get rid of this disease!
Contribute to this powerful movement with a donation. Funds raised through the Ride to Conquer Cancer will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at the BC Cancer Agency, bringing hope to cancer patients in B.C. and beyond.
