Countless motivations, One common goal
Who do I ride for?
There are many people, like each of you reading this I'm sure, that I have lost to cancer and that I pray for right now as they battle cancer. I ride for those individuals. I ride for the families of those individuals. I ride for for the community as a whole, who is affected by cancer. I ride to show support for those who have battled cancer and conquered it, and I ride for those who battle cancer and their outcomes aren't so lucky - I ride in hopes of improving these outcomes. I ride for Adam Christensen, nana, papa, Cathy Lervold, Ashley Salvador, Kelvin Stephens, Shannon Meidal, and Rob Moore. Among us all are countless motivations. Together, we share one common goal. I ride because I want to make a difference, no matter how big or small. I ride because I dream of a world free of cancer, and if there is any microscopic way that I can be a part of that, I will. My mother always taught me to "never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has," (Margaret Mead). So please, join me in this pursuit to conquer cancer.
