Helping out as Crew in 2017
I'm on the BCRCC Crew to support my friends who are living with cancer, those who love them and those who have passed.
2017 would have been my third year riding in the BC Ride to Conquer Cancer. Unfortunately I had an accident and the injuries were serious enough that it was best that I withdraw from the ride. Choosing to step away was very difficult. When I broke the news to Karin, I was in tears, thats when she suggested I join the crew. In the past 2 years riding, I have seen the importance of the sweeper vehicles. In 2016, we actually used a sweeper car so we could reach the meeting place on time, unfortuantely there were so few cars that we had to wait for over an hour, nearly missing the team ride to the finish line. Sweeper vehicles are vital to the safety of the riders. This year, my role is an act of service to those who are able to ride. It is my pleasure to support all riders, especiallly the Wheelin Warriors of the North, a team of likeminded, awesome people, some new, some veterans, who are fiercely passionate about raising funds for cancer research in British Columbia. Thank you for supporting me in my rides, now its time for me to support you.
Please contribute today to this life changing movement. Funds raised through the BC Ride to Conquer Cancer will support life-saving research and enhancements for the BC Cancer Agency, bringing hope to cancer patients in B.C. and beyond.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
