Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer®
Welcome to my Personal Page! The Ride to Conquer Cancer presented by Silver Wheaton benefiting BC Cancer Foundation, is a two-day cycling journey, through the beautiful Pacific region taking place August 26-27, 2017 It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, your generosity, AND NO WIND, a real impact will be made!
I am riding in this years event in support of my father, Bill Village. My father bravely battled Acute Myelogenous Leukemia but sadly passed away on August 28, 2009 survived by his loving wife Bobbie. I, along with my sister Lonnie and brothers Bill and Dan were so fortunate and blessed to have such loving and caring parents. As a family, we have all greatly admired and unwaveringly appreciated my father's ( and mother's ) legacy and it lives on every day through their kids, grandkids and the community as a whole. I respectfully ask for your support in this ongoing battle to fight this disease and other cancers which have affected so many of our family and friends.
I am riding with Team Gilby which is named in honour of Sean Gilbert who passed away March 15, 2012 from esophageal cancer at the very young age of 46 survived by his loving family (wife Julie and their 3 boys Graeme, Stuart and Cameron). Team Gilby has raised over $270,000 over the past 4 years of riding in the Ride to Conquer Cancer.
Contribute to this powerful movement with a donation. Funds raised through the Ride to Conquer Cancer will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at the BC Cancer Agency, bringing hope to cancer patients in B.C. and beyond.
Thank you in advance for your help.
