Please Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer®
Welcome to my Personal Page! The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting BC Cancer Foundation, is a two-day cycling journey, through Canada's Pacific region taking place in the summer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
I am riding this year in memory of my dad who recently lost his life to liver cancer. I hope that one day we will be able to live in a world free of cancer.
My Father, the strongest man I ever knew, fought with all he had. We learned my dad had liver cancer in 2012 and every time he saw the doctor they gave him less time to live. We were told he probably wouldn't last until Christmas that year. He went through some very strong Chemo Treatments and we were all hoping and praying that we would have more time. Just before Christmas we held my parents 40th wedding Anniversary and had a big party thinking this would be the last time we would all see him. On Christmas Eve we were blessed with some amazing news, his cancer was shrinking. We got almost three extra years thanks to the treatments he received and we enjoyed every minute we had with him.
If by investing my time and money to train, fund-raise, and ride will save one person from losing a loved one, then it is all worth it.
Please contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in The Ride to Conquer Cancer support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and the compassionate care made through the BC Cancer Foundation, a leader in cancer research and care.
Thank you in advance for your help.
I joined team Ovcare, who treated me like family the first year I volunteered. I met some of the researchers for Ovarian Cancer research, as well as, some of the most caring people ever. Our Team Captain has invested time, money, and energy into not only training our team, but anyone who wants to ride.
If you would like to learn about what our team is working for, please check out their website www.ovcare.ca .
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you will give, but if you are unable, maybe consider donating some time to volunteering for the event.
Take Care and God Bless!!
