Welcome to my Personal Page
We all have reasons for doing what we do. The trigger for me to take part in this ride came four years ago when my good friend Artie was diagnosed with cancer and committed to doing the ride. It only took me a moment to reflect on all those I know who have been impacted by this terrible disease, my three brothers and my Mom were all taken by cancer. It was time for me to do something.
The ride is such a meaningful, emotional, and great experience that he and I committed to do the ride for five years. That first year our team was called the Kingsmen, it had Artie, his daughter Amber, his Dad Art, our friend Mark Smith and myself. Our team name changed to The Must-Cure-Teers the second year and has remained. We are all back for the fifth years ride with many more friends, except Artie, who we lost two days after he crossed last years finish with us, he is deeply missed.
So here we go for the fifth year, to honor my family and friends and all those who have been affected by cancer. I ride because I can and I want to do something to help find a cure, and the monies raised will help those who will find a cure.
The ride is an amazing and emotional experience, the connection everyone has, all the effort put forth by the riders, volunteers, supporters, and the donators, to make a difference.
Please support the B.C. Cancer Foundation and our team The Must-Cure-Teers with a tax deductible donation. Every dollar helps.
Thank-you for your support.
