Welcome to my Personal Page
Thank you for visiting my personal page.
This will be my fifth year participating in this amazing event.
Will I be riding my fixed gear again? Yes.
Was it hard last year? Yes.
Why am I doing it again? After having participated in it last year, the motivation and support I witnessed from everyone, both from those also participating on the ride and also from those who could not ride themselves (but cheered along the way with bright signs and cow bells), shows me the impact this two-day cycling journey has on people's lives.
Please support me through this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in The Ride to Conquer Cancer will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care made possible through BC Cancer Foundation, a leader in cancer research and care.
I ride because I can, and I ride for those who can't. I ride for those who have been diagnosed and are fighting and I ride for those suffered and have passed away. I also ride for the families and friends who give their time and support unconditionally to those in need. I ride because of what it stands for.
Thank you for visiting my page and I hope you donate to support my ride to conquer cancer.
***IMPORTANT TAX ADVANTAGE AVAILABLE STARTING 2013- First Time Donors Super Credit. ***
Starting in the 2013 taxation year, the budget proposes to introduce a temporary non-refundable FDSC that will supplement the CDTC for individuals. This new credit effectively adds 25% to the rates used in the calculation of the CDTC for up to $1,000 of monetary donations. As a result, a first-time donor will be allowed a 40% federal credit for donations of $200 or less, and a 54% federal credit for the portion of donations over $200 but not exceeding $1,000.
Example 1: An eligible first-time donor claims $500 of charitable donations in 2013. All of the donations are donations of money. The first-time donor's FDSC and CDTC would be calculated as follows:
