Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer®
Hello. Thank you for visiting my page.
My uncle is still in his figtht with cancer, which means I am still in the ride to conquer cancer.
Like many people, my family and circle of friends have been touched by cancer in far too many ways. One of the most profound aspects of riding in my first RTCC last year was the realization that everyone in that ride had stories and experiences with cancer. Over 1500 riders, each with their own friends and family touched in some way. And each of them also with multiple people in their lives who were fighting or had fought with cancer too. This year I'll be thinking of not only the people close to me or the people I know by aquaintence, I will be thinking also of the countless people I don't know and never will. So many stories.
It's my second year, riding with Deirdre on her fourth and we are thrilled to have daughter Mimi riding with us this year too. It means we have a lot to raise this year, but with your help I'm sure we'll get there. This year I ride for my uncle and I ride for my mum. If you tell me, I'll ride for someone you know too. For your stories.
Its a great ride from Vancouver to Seattle, made infinitely better by the cause that it supports. Its a time of great hope and promise that cures will be found. On the backs of the dollars you donate, slowly but surely, science and research are gaining ground. They are gaining ground and helping to make those stories longer and better.
I thank you so much for your generosity.
