Will's Ride to Conquer Cancer Fundraising Page
A year has come and gone, and "Team To The Max" is back with larger numbers and even more excitement to complete our ride from Vancouver to Seattle, yet again.
This year will be my Seventh Ride to Conquer Cancer, and it continuously amazes me how special this ride is to so many individuals. I cannot say enough good things about the ride, and cannot thank the donors enough who sponsored me in my ride and have supported us for years on end.
Everyone has a different story of how cancer affects their lives. Personally, I have experienced both sides of the coin. I’ve lost family members to the disease including my Grandpa Bill, and have also stood alongside strong fighters throughout their battle such as my Dad and Grandma. I have also seen many others lose close individuals to cancer such as Connor Knickerbocker, someone I can proudly call my good Friend, Brother, and Captain. Connor, who founded Team To The Max lost his brother Max to a rare type of cancer. He has been a true inspiration to fellow "To the Max" riders.
Given the severity of the battles cancer patients are forced to endure, the least we can do is support impactful causes such as the Ride to Conquer Cancer in hopes of raising enough money to cure this disease once and for all. I ride for my Dad, My Grandma, the memory of my Papa and Max.
This is only my story. The truth is millions of stories exist that deal with both miracles and tragedies. The BC Cancer Foundation has already fulfilled my miracle - providing innovative technology that allowed my Dad to survive. Any donations made - large or small - will be gratefully accepted. We are honoured to participate in an event that has such a significant and meaningful cause. We can't wait to cross the finish line knowing we have made a difference.
Thank you for hearing my story and supporting our cause !
*If you are a local to Vancouver, please encourage To The Max by giving us some friendly honks when you see us training the hills of North Vancouver - look for the black and yellow!
