Welcome to my 2016 Proud to be a "Brainiac" Ride to Conquer Cancer page
Wow..........we are back at it again for a 6th straight year. This time with my wife Leslie and my oldest daughter Lauren, who both have rarely been on bikes - so both their training and fundraising will definitely be a challenge.
Both my parents passed away from cancer, so I have no choice but to ride again to honour them.
So THANK YOU..........Your generosity continues to go a long way to ensure our success against this dreaded disease, so ......... THANK YOU!!!!!!!
I continue to be so proud of our Brainiac cycling team and am honoured that you would take your time to visit my site. As many of you already know, the last few of years have been most challenging for the Desrochers.
I miss my Mom and Dad who battled this dreaded disease ..... My father-in-law Ron as well.........
My 7 year old niece Sara has now beaten her leukemia and is enjoying being a kid again, my cousin Barb Hall was given 4 months to live due to a brain tumour, and yet after two years she remains here as an inspiration to all those associated with our Brainiac team........and so we ride and raise funds.
So again for the 2016 Ride to Conquer Cancer will benefit BC Cancer Foundation and is a two-day cycling journey from Vancouver to Seattle. Although this will be somewhat challenging, it can not compare to those challenges for those dealing with cancer. Please consider making a donation and a real impact to this worthwhile cause as we strive to conquer this disease. Your generousity is truly appreciated.
Funds raised in The Ride to Conquer Cancer will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care made possible through BC Cancer Foundation, a leader in cancer research and care.
Thank you for your consideration.
Proud to be a Brainiac, David TRC
