Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer®
Welcome to my Personal Page! The Ride to Conquer Cancer is a two-day cycling journey, through the beautiful Pacific region taking place in the summern of 2017. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
This ride is especially meaningful to me as I have lost two parents to cancer, both of which died way too young. My cousin, Aleda, died in her early 30s from bile duct cancer. She left a 3 year old daughter behind. All very tragic. On a happier note, my dad was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer in which he had a successful surgery and is now cancer free. I could go on and on about all the people that I know and care about that have been affected by this awful disease, but I suspect you have already experienced this tragedy personally or by way of someone you love. I am hopeful that through events like this one we can raise enough money to continue the great advancements that have already been occuring in cancer treatment. Cancer does not discriminate. It affects the young, the old, the healthy and the unhealthy and I want to do my part to help fight back.
You can help my fight by contributing to this powerful movement with a donation. Funds raised through the Ride to Conquer Cancer will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at the BC Cancer Agency, bringing hope to cancer patients in B.C. and beyond.
Thank you in advance for your help.
