Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer®
On August 26 and 27 I am going to ride 250K from Vancouver to Seattle to Conquer Cancer for LC and for Michelle.
LC is 9 years old, same as my children. In March this year, LC underwent a 10 hour surgery to remove a cancerous brain tumour.
Michelle died last year after an 11 month battle with metastasized colorectal cancer that stole her body but left an amazing spirit. She and I connected as parents – her children are the same age as mine.
- I’m learning how to ride a road bike this summer so 9 year olds don’t suffer permanent damage from massive brain tumours.
- I’m training to ride longer than I've ever ridden so parents don’t worry about whether cancer will come back.
- I’m riding 125K one day so children don’t grow up without their mum.
- I’m riding 125K the next day to remember Michelle because she was awesome.
Please contribute to my ride with a donation. Funds raised through the Ride to Conquer Cancer will support life-saving research and enhancements to care at the BC Cancer Agency.
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
