Help me conquer cancer

Thank you for all you support.
Well, its my turn. On May 15, 2017 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I am lucky. It was caught very early. I was looking for it as my dad had to undergo radiation treatments for prostate cancer a number of years ago. I am stage 2. The bone scan showed that the cancer was isolated to the prostate and had not spread to the lymphatic system or bones. On July 11, I had my prostate removed. I am now 3 weeks Post Op and the biopsy result is that the cancer was contained entirely within my prostate. So removal of the prostate means removal of the cancer. I will need to pass a couple PSA tests before I can be declared cancer free. But this is the prognosis.
For all of you guys out there. This is a cancer that can be recovered from. One statistic is this will affect 25% of men. If you have not had a blood test for your PSA schedule that now, not tomorrow, now. Every day you can be vigilant and catch this early provides a greater opportunity of recovery.
As part of preparation and recovery I am committed to complete my 5th year on the Ride to Conquer Cancer. I am training and I will be working hard on recovery and I will ride on August 26 and 27th. I may have to get a very wide bike seat. But committing to the ride is the best for me and my recovery.
I hope you will help me. My individual fundraising commitment to the Team is $2500. I suggest a donation of $50 becuase it seems like a reasonable number. A game of golf or Movie for 2 and popcorn... But having said that whatever you can do is greatly appreciated. You may already be supporting other causes and even other riders. Thank you for that. But if you have a little room please support me. It is easy and you get a tax receipt right away.
Thank you for doing what you can do.
