Why I Ride
I lost my Mom, Wendy, to cancer in 2001. Everyday I'm impacted by that loss. This summer I will be taking part in my fourth consecutive Ride to Conquer Cancer, riding in her memory. The Ride has come to be a means of healing for me, as it is such a positive and empowering experience. Thousands of people riding hundreds of kilometers and raising millions of dollars is an awe-inspiring example of how much we are capable of when we work together.
Memories like watching cancer survivors spin past you on a hill and hearing people credit still being alive to treatment funded solely by this Ride make every single flat tire, pulled muscle, and sore butt cheek well worth it.
The Ride to Conquer Cancer is a no-brainer opportunity for all of us to make an impact, to save a life, and to eventually cure cancer!
