2017 Vancouver RTCC

Victoria Fire Department

The Victoria Fire Department is on a conquest. We have decided to team up for "Team Doug" and Ride to Conquer Cancer, presented by Silver Wheaton benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation.

"Team Doug" is a team of friends from the Victoria Fire Department. Doug is a retired Fire chief from the Victoria Fire Department who has just passed away on May 12 /17, fighting his biggest fight, Brain Cancer.

The Ride is a, two-day cycling event taking place on August 26-27 that spans over 200 kilometers!

The money we raise for the Ride to Conquer Cancer will benefit the BC Cancer Foundation and support leading clinicians, scientists, and researchers whose search for new discoveries and improved patient outcomes will have a real impact in our communities throughout the province, across Canada, and around the world.

Since 2009, the Ride has raised $77 million for the BC Cancer Foundation and is B.C.’s largest cycling fundraiser.

Please donate to us. Thank you in advance for your support!

The BC Cancer Foundation is the largest charitable funder of cancer research in the province, supporting leading-edge cancer research at the BC Cancer Agency that has a direct impact in improving cancer care across the province.
