We are on a conquest. We have again decided to team up in The Ride to Conquer Cancer, presented by Silver Wheaton, benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation. It’s a cycling journey through the beautiful pacific region taking place August 26-27th, 2017. This will be our 6th year and we will ride again under sunny skies!
Team Gilby, named in honour of Sean Gilbert, has raised over $315,000 since our first ride in 2012. We ride, and will continue to ride, because we know that cancer is too big a disease to ignore. It affects everyone, maybe you, me, our parents, kids, siblings or friends. Sadly, maybe all of the above. But by riding in this event we are doing something about it. We’re rolling closer and closer to the end of cancer. It’s an awesome triumph in both a physical and emotional sense.
The money we raise for the Ride to Conquer Cancer will benefit the BC Cancer Foundation and support leading clinicians, scientists, and researchers whose search for new discoveries and improved patient outcomes will have a real impact in our communities throughout the province, across Canada, and around the world.
Since 2009, the Ride has raised $70 million for the BC Cancer Foundation and is B.C.’s largest cycling fundraiser.
Please donate to us or join us. Thank you in advance for your support!
The BC Cancer Foundation is the largest charitable funder of cancer research in the province, supporting leading-edge cancer research at the BC Cancer Agency that has a direct impact in improving cancer care across the province.
