Genome Super Cyclers (GSC)
We are on a conquest. We have decided to team up for the Ride to Conquer Cancer, benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation.
The Genome Super Cylers (GSC) are a social group of employees, friends, and supporters of Canada's Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre at the BC Cancer Agency. The GSC knows about the impact cancer research can have on cancer patients. That's what brings and keeps us together. We will train and fundraise together to show our support for all cancer patients and raise money to further advance cancer research.
The Ride is an epic, two-day cycling event taking place on August 26-27, 2017 that spans over 200 kilometers! With the backing of a good team, everyone with a bike can do the Ride. The GSC, which has experienced and novice Ride participants, will organize group training rides and provide support to ensure that everyone will be able to enjoy the Ride in August 2017. We will also fundraise togehter.
The money we raise for the Ride to Conquer Cancer will benefit the BC Cancer Foundation and support leading clinicians, scientists, and researchers at the BC Cancer Agency, whose search for new discoveries and improved patient outcomes will have a real impact in our communities throughout the province, across Canada, and around the world.
Since 2009, the Ride has raised $70 million for the BC Cancer Foundation and is B.C.’s largest cycling fundraiser.
This can be your opportunity to do something challenging and rewarding in so many ways. And you won’t do it alone.
We invite you to join our team as a rider, volunteer, or supporter. Together we can make a difference.
