The Dreaded "C" Word - More and more people are hearing it
This week I have heard of three other friends and acquaintances that have been diagnosed with cancer. It is not time to give up, but to step up the fight! Together we CAN make a difference!
November 28, 2012, the day that changed my life forever!
That is the day that I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Despite knowing that thousands of people are diagnosed with cancer every year, I never thought it would happen to me. It was quite a shock, and I was suddenly fighting for my life. I have put all my trust and faith in the research and doctors at the Segal Cancer Centre at the Jewish General Hospital, and I am happy to report that I am cancer free.
In 2013 and 2014 I walked my feet off in the Weekend to End Women's cancers. In 2015 and 2016 I changed it up and decided to ride my butt off in the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer. They were both very different but epic experiences, one hot and sunny and last year was very wet and cold. However, that will not stop me so this year I'm going to do it again! Together Sean and I have raised over $52,000 in the past four years and we are not finished yet. This is our way to pay it forward and help fight this dreaded disease. I am doing it for all of those who are currently undergoing the battle, and for those who don't know it yet, but will be. Please support me in this worthy cause.
Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer
The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Segal Cancer Centre at the Jewish General Hospital is a 230 km cycling journey through Quebec’s countryside that I’m embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
Contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care at the Jewish General Hospital.
Thank you in advance for your help.
