Please support Our Ride to Conquer Cancer
Welcome to my Personal Page!
This is a simple appeal to friends, neighbours and colleagues. No family is untouched by cancer. In our case, I am riding in fond memory of Bob Savage, Barb Hughes and Charlie Hughes. And friends and professional colleagues including Harvie Andre. And I am riding to support those who are survivors, including a determined young man named Adam Sorenson, of whose team I am honoured to be part. He is 16, and so is finally eligible to participate.
I can tell you, from my own research and work, that we will be able to mange much better, and in some cases stop cancer in its tracks, within our lifetime. We are lucky to be alive in this time of substantial disruption and scientific advancement.
All I am asking is that you do your bit to support this important goal. Please make a donation, on my site, on Adam's site, or on any of the other participant sites.
The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Alberta Cancer Foundation presented by Evraz is a cycling journey through the foothils where I grew up and have lived much of my life. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with Jeremy's bike (thanks Jeremy Tomalin-Reeves!), my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
Please contribute to this event with a donation. Funds raised in The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer will support breakthrough research, exemplary teaching, and compassionate care at the Alberta Cancer Foundation, a leader in cancer research and treatment.
Thank you in advance for your help.
